We are a friendly bunch here at Three Cs Cleaning and we thought that we would do an occasional series of “getting to know you” posts so that we sat down and came up with a series of questions to ask each other to find out what makes us tick.
I couldn’t ask my team these questions and not answer them myself so, here goes;
Name: David Carter, though my friends call me Dave.
Tea or Coffee? First thing in the morning it has to be a coffee. Black, no sugar. I can’t function properly until I’ve had my first caffeine fix of the day.
Do you have any pets? No. I always had pets growing up but I don’t really have time for a pet at the moment. The most unusual pets I had were a pair of flying squirrels, Sammy and Susie. They had a large cage down one side of my bedroom.
If I had a pet again it would be a dog, preferably a small one, most likely a border terrier.
Red or white wine? Red. Nothing too full bodied. A St Emilion probably.
Favourite flower? A difficult one this as I’m a keen gardener and there are so many to choose from.
If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would that be? Peru. I would love to visit the Inca ruins at Machu Picchu.
What’s your favourite film or book? An easy one this. ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ by Harper Lee. Not only a superb book but also a great film with Gregory Peck playing Atticus Finch.
What would you perfect Sunday be like? Pottering in the garden, followed by a pub lunch and then a walk afterwards.
What’s your secret talent that no one knows about? Not many people know but I’m a qualified garden designer. I trained at the Inchbald School of Design in London.
What’s the craziest thing you have ever done? Hitchhiked round Denmark whilst suffering from concussion.
What was the best event you ever went to? Watching Queen, live at Wembley back in the 1980s
